Faces of Humanism

Humanism in healthcare is all around us.

The face of humanism is the physician who cares, the nurse who connects with a patient, the CEO who prioritizes a culture of kindness, the student who sits with a patient to really hear their story. You are a face of humanism, too.

We want to hear your story.

When did you feel the power of humanism?

When did you notice how much it matters?

Maybe you have a patient story, a clinician story, a family caregiver story.

A story that illustrates why humanism is essential to the best care.

At the 2026 Gold Humanism Summit, a video team will be capturing these Faces of Humanism stories. We’ll be posting clips of Faces of Humanism stories over the coming months on our website and social media.

If you’d like to share your story, and have it captured by the video team during the Summit, let us know. Tell a Gold staff member, or email summit@gold-foundation.org or balcala@gold-foundation.org

We’ll also have a Faces of Humanism table in the Exhibitor Hall, which will be staffed by volunteer Jess and occasional Gold staff members. If you aren’t sure about what story to tell, or want to talk it through, that’s a great place to visit.

There will be more opportunities, too, so if this time isn’t right, you can always share your story later.
